I have always loved flowers. My early years were spent running through our pasture picking wildflowers to make tiny bouquets (Posies). Later in life I was trained as a floral designer in a local flower shop and I loved every moment.
Fast forward a few years and I had two young boys. To grow an appreciation for beauty within my family, I decided to grow a small Zinnia patch with them, and we loved having fresh flowers in our home. I delighted in the process: from planting the seed, to the first hopeful sprout, to seeing the joy on other's faces when I surprised them with a bouquet of home- grown flowers.
My garden and experience teaching others has since grown to include vegetables, herbs, and landscaping. I love getting to design custom gardens that intermix these different aspects to create a beautiful sanctuary for people and wildlife.
